First and foremost we would like to introduce ourselves. We are Ben and Alex partnering together on Zompocalypse Now, it is a project we have worked together envisioned over the past few months. We are both big fans of zombies and one night we came upon an argument of the best way to survive a zombie apocalypse. After a few hours and a few words that were said that can never be taken back we arrived at the idea of Zompocalypse Now!
In the comic we would like to explore certain ideas that tend to be paramount in the zombie community, such as popular ways to survive the zombie apocalypse, as well as motifs that tend to be reoccurring in popular zombie movies. The comic will be centered around zombies but not every comic will contain or necessarily be about zombies, doing the same things over and over get very tiresome and jaded. We are people with varied tastes as well as people with opinions. Hopefully we’ll also be able to get a chuckle or two out of our audience as well.
Another mission we have is to explore new ways to put comics together. Everything will probably not work but the internet is an entirely new medium that allows for adventurous new ways of facing things that were not possible in the past with the limitations that were at hand. We are both coming at this project from a Scott Mcloud school of thought. So we hope you enjoy the site and like the comic.
